To Live and to Love

Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Deuteronomy 30:19-20.

It’s been another tough week, only this time, it’s because God answered prayer. How can an answer to prayer be tough? By being complicated! This week, I received three job opportunities at once, so now there is a choice to be made. Please continue to pray for us. We are weighing all the pros and cons to all things considered and a praying for a crystal clear answer. It seems like in the life of the Schrages, friends need a text update, because you never know when things could change. Yay for an adventurous first year of marriage! We were going to send out Christmas letters, but Christmas has come and gone… I think we should do an anniversary letter instead because who knows what could happen by May 3! All the people who were at our wedding would think we wrote a crazy novel, not a true update…

We’re having company tonight. Not just company, but friends! The only other young, un-childrened couple in church who are great and we’re looking forward to it. Jeff really wants to go to a discussion at a local bookstore with a lesbian Episcopal minister on her book, Bulletproof Faith. We found out about it on Tuesday night when we had a date night downtown, and he’s been reading and marking up the book all week. He’s trying to come up with the one perfect question for her. We’ll see what our friends want to do.

Jeff changed his blog. He now keeps a regular blog at 6acres.blogspot.com and a new blog focusing on the church at historicxianity.blogspot.com. Enjoy!

Yay for your job offers! I’ve been thinking of you, as job-hunting and joblessness have been some of the most depressing experiences of my life. Can’t wait to hear more.

So glad to hear about the job offers! God is good! I’ve been really behind on blogs and blogging and have enjoyed catching up with you. I’m sorry things have been so stressful!
