To Live and to Love

Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Deuteronomy 30:19-20.

Major Life Changes Coming to the Schrages October 16, 2008

No. We’re NOT pregnant! Sorry to disappoint…

Instead, we’re MOVING! *Clap*Clap*

We are very excited about what God has been doing in our lives in the last two weeks. Since Jeff’s internship is ending in December, we’ve been looking for another ministry opportunity. After exhausting all our options and still coming up blank, God threw a job into our laps and we are thrilled. We will be moving to Asheville, NC by the end of the month where Jeff will be the youth director at Fairview Community Fellowship.

Asheville is a gorgeous city and filled with all kinds of diverse people. It feels much more like Indianapolis, with the arts, restaurants, and people. It is a green and organic concerned city; I have a feeling I will be learning a whole lot more about being green and organic. (There is an organic farmer who serves on the church session who is actively involved in the slow foods movement. How cool?) We’re still looking for a place to live, but we already have part time jobs which God also provided without much effort! I’m going back to Williams-Sonoma and it’s located in the ADORABLE Biltmore Village just down the street from the Biltmore Estate. Jeff is returning to his old job at Dick’s Sporting Goods. For now, retail is to hold us until we can find substitute teaching or other teaching jobs.

We are excited to see what God has for us in Asheville. Come and visit us in the mountains!

That’s wonderful! My grandparents used to live outside of Asheville (in Montreat) until last year when they moved to a senior living place. I spent every summer there growing up. It’s a wonderful place, tons to do, and very beautiful. I hope y’all like it!

I lived in East TN for six years and Ashville was one of my all time favorite places for a day trip. A lot of my friends did internships at the Barter Theater.

You are going to love it there!! Hope your moving goes smoothly.
